Description:
Section 889(a)(1)(B) of the NDAA for Fiscal Year 2019 is now in effect. This section of the NDAA prohibits government agencies and government contractors they work with from using certain covered telecommunications equipment or services from China. Section 889(a)(1)(B) of the NDAA will have varying impacts on all government contractors in terms of their ability to comply with this prohibition and to bid for and maintain their government contract. Join PilieroMazza’s Cy Alba and Anna Wright on August 21, 2020, at 2:00 PM ET as they help federal contractors navigate this newly effective rule.
Learning objectives include:
- What is Section 889(a)(1)(B) of the NDAA?
- Conducting a reasonable inquiry into whether prohibited equipment and services are in your supply chain.
- Implications for cybersecurity and data privacy.
- Obtaining a temporary waiver from the procuring agency.
